When you have some time on your hands, many people choose to do things that they've been
putting off for months, maybe even years. I'm no different. I've got hundreds of photos to
put in albums and I know if I researched, I would get better rates for my car insurance. I seem to receive at least one piece of mail a day from an insurance agent promising lower rates and I tell
myself, today is the day I'm going to call.
But here's the thing, nothing makes me want to search for my VIN or know what my deductible
is. I also don't remember how old my kids are in pictures so to try and put them in order would be futile.
So instead, I choose to procrastinate and this here blogging seems like such a better use of my time.
It's really just therapy for me to get all my useless thoughts on paper. If I can provide a service
to those that also choose to procastinate by reading this, then great. (Even if it's just my mom
and sister)
Did I mention it's going to be 79 degrees here in Naperville today? So instead of getting out of the house and doing something productive, I choose to write about what I should be doing.
Here's the thing, having time is something we all don't have much of. Whether it's trying to get your errands done, do a good job at work, not yell at your children and not be annoyed with your husband, it all takes up time.
With so much to do, and so little time, why are we paralyzed into not doing any of it?
Actually, I guess I still find time to yell at my kids and my husband's habit of not picking up his damn socks is very annoying.
Until next time.... oh there is that word again, time.

Ditto on everything!!! You are 1 step ahead of me - I don't even have a background on my blog. I even procrastinated on that - seems I can't figure out which one I like! Have fun and I'll look forward to your 'useless thoughts" and combine them with my useless thoughts and we will be genius bloggers!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Just having my last diet coke for the day. And I too love the foam cups!
